Nancy L. Bloemer, ThD, E-RYT500, LMT has worked professionally in the field of Integrative Medicine since 1986. She started practicing yoga in 1984 and began teaching group yoga classes in 1986. Nancy was licensed as a medical massage therapist in 1992, establishing and maintaining a private practice ever since. In 2007, Nancy completed her doctoral dissertation researching the effects of a yoga based program of body awareness and intentional relaxation on adolescent women.
Nancy's studies of Hawaiian Huna began in the early 1990's. In a ceremony on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2015, she became an Alakai of Aloha International, an organization that is dedicated to spreading the spirit of aloha and the knowledge of Huna and was founded by her mentor, Serge Kahili King.
Over the years, Nancy has presented workshops, presentations and classes to countless groups regionally, nationally and internationally. She has produced wellness related newsletters, articles, videos, audio recordings and authored a book on practical self care titled "The Now River: Practical Techniques for Living in the Present Moment." She currently maintains a private massage therapy practice and teaches group workshops and yoga classes.
